The Qatar Energy LNG Transportation Project's Vessel "AL MAS'HABIYYAH" Successfully Delivered

On July 30, 2025, the LNG carrier “AL MAS’HABIYYAH”, part of the Qatar Energy LNG transportation project jointly invested by CLNG, NYK, Kline, and MISC, was officially delivered at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard. Cong Jian, General Manager of CLNG, attended the signing ceremony on behalf of the shipowner.
The “AL MAS’HABIYYAH” is the second sister vessel in the Qatar Energy LNG transportation project in which CLNG has participated. It is a fifth-generation Changheng series LNG carrier with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, independently designed, developed, and built by Hudong-Zhonghua. The vessel has an overall length of 299 meters, a beam of 46.4 meters, a depth of 26.25 meters, and is classified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the China Classification Society (CCS).
After delivery, the “AL MAS’HABIYYAH” will be operated and managed by CLNG’s in-house ship management company, CLSICO. The vessel set sail from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard on July 31 and, after refueling in Singapore, is expected to arrive at Ras Laffan Port in Qatar between August 18 and 21 to load its cargo.
